"I am one of the
'Soccer Champs' directors and have been playing football for over 30 years. I have been coaching the Leighton
United under 8's team for two years, and since taking on the team, I have now got 8 of my squad professional
academy places. I have always been keen to put something back into junior football after the sport gave me
so much enjoyment over the years, and Soccer Champs is the ideal way!
I support
Manchester United....and yes, I have been lucky enough to go to Old Trafford!!! My favourite player has to be David Beckham!"

"Hi
my name is Amy, I am eighteen years old and I have played football for six years for Leighton United Ladies, and have
always had a passion for football. I am a defender (right back) and have played this position throughout all the years I have
played football. I have had many experiences where I have been able to gain knowledge and understanding of the game.
I have played at Kettering football clubs' ground and was amazing to experience a pitch surrounded with stands, containing
lots of spectators.
My favourite player is John Terry this is because he is a good player, and I
believe he is a good role model to amateur footballers wanting to make it to professional standard. As he plays
in defence I believe he has the skills and ability to make the right decisions to protect his defending goal."
Meg Franklin
